Economic Girlie Men?
Hello:
The market chose to ignore comments of "Economic Girlie Men" by the Governor and heated responses by Wall Street Pundits, to begin a rally on Thursday that appears to be continuing today. If we can get through the third anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and through the presidential election without terrorist attacks on US soil, it would not surprise us if the market possibly broke out of its current trading range.
Our hearts go out to the victims of Hurricane Frances and their families. The commodities markets responded by dropping the price of crude, and raising the price of frozen concentrated orange juice (FCOJ). If Hurricane Ivan goes into the Gulf of Mexico, there may be worries of disruption of oil drilling offshore Texas and Louisiana, in addition to the worries about the safety people living along the gulf.
We will be presenting at the Planned Giving Roundtable of Orange County Primer this Wednesday. We look forward to seeing you there. Please feel free to come by after our talk to say, "Hello!"
