Recent Survey of Community Foundations

Hello:

According to a recent survey released last month by the Columbus Community Foundation, gifts by donors to community foundations increased by 9 percent in 2004, reaching a total of $4.2 billion, up from $3.8 billion in 2003. The survey of 636 U.S. community foundations also reported $3 billion in grants made to nonprofit organizations, and growth in market value of assets to $39.4 billion
