Dennis the Menace

Hello:

Hurricane Dennis wreaked less havoc than expected (though our hearts go out to all the Gulf Coast inhabitants that suffered through yet another storm.) and bypassed many drill rigs. This allowed the price of oil to settle down (a bit) and allowed the market to breathe a little sigh of relief.

This week, watch for inflation indicators in the form of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Thursday and the Producer Price Index (PPI) on Friday.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our phones were overloaded last week due to a modem autodialer from a media company in Denver. We have corrected their problem, and now our phone systems are back to normal. Thank you for your patience.

In our continuing series on protecting yourself from identity theft, here are some commonly used passwords types that are easily hacked: last four digits of social security number, mother's maiden name, birthdate, middle name, pet's name, and/or consecutive numbers. Consider using passwords that include both letters and numbers.
