Going for Growth

Hello:

According to Barron's 2007 year-end By The Numbers column, Growth investing outperformed Value investing in the Large-Cap, Mid-Cap and Small-Cap categories by 9%, or more. In contrast, according to Ibbotson & Associates, Value outperformed Growth from 2000-2006. Now the tide is turning, and Growth appears to be outpacing Value. This is a very common occurrence in maturing bull markets. Please do not be surprised if we recommend augmenting your allocation to growth oriented investments this year.
