Made Us Blink!

Hello!

Last Monday, rumors circulated that the Bank of Korea might sell some of its US Dollars and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) dropped approximately 170 points. Fortunately, those rumors were dispelled by Tuesday, and the markets rallied back. This volatile market activity gave us a sample of what might happen if foreign banks, that have been such avid buyers of US Dollars, were to become sudden sellers of US Dollars.

This type of volatile domestic market activity supports our philosophy, that asset allocation diversification should include, on a case by case basis, appropriate levels of investments not tied to the seemingly fragile US Dollar. In other words, we believe it is important to diversify globally, to some extent.

Ever hear of a stretch 401k? Neither have we. Donors may want to consider taking control of their retirement assets by rolling their retirement plans into IRA Rollover accounts in order to have a greater selection of beneficiaries (including your organization, we hope!)
