Merry Merger Monday!

Hello:

More Monday Merger announcements initially propelled the S & P 500 to new six year highs. However, U.S. home builders indicated that they were a bit more pessimistic about the housing market in December, thereby keeping the initial stock market gains in check. Perhaps the cheaper dollar is making domestic assets attractive to foreign buyers and keeping the economy in a soft landing, rather than a recession.

We will be keeping normal office hours other than being closed on the Monday holidays. The next weekly e-Update will be sent on January 2, 2007. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
