The Goo Goo Googly IPO
Hello:
Wall Street appeared to try to make Google founders, Page and Brin, stumble on their way to offering shares of Google in a Dutch Auction IPO. Happily, the shares made it to market, albeit at a lower value than originally anticipated. Why did the Investment Banks seem to stick out their wingtips in an effort to trip up the Google founders? Could it be that if the Dutch Auction process gains acceptance, that Investment Banks would need to trim their fees? Hmmm....
