Hello:
According to Al Frank Asset Management (not to be confused with Al Franken the comedian) the next big thing in investing may be a small thing. Coming out of an economic downturn, historically small cap stocks have greatly outperformed large cap stocks. (Past performance is no guarantee of future results.)
Comparing the S&P 500 to the Russell 2000 (small cap) Index over the past year, I do see that small caps have dropped somewhat less than larger cap stocks. Perhaps there is something to be said for the argument that the next Big Thing may indeed be a small thing.
Here's to innovation and Yankee Ingenuity.
